Smart Doors: The answer to parcel theft?

‘Porch pirates’ is a (largely American) term for those stealing parcels left unattended on people’s doorsteps. It’s a phenomenon that gets a lot of attention in the US, and we loved this novel solution on show at this year’s CES tech expo in Vegas – the Smart Door.
The Smart Door is a front door with unlockable panels opened by a delivery driver’s eKey. Once unlocked the panels reveal a secure expanding cubby that can even be heated or kept cool to store groceries.
Smart? Absolutely. Mass Market? We’re not convinced. Take a look to decide for yourself…
