Posted on 19th December 2018

Business Insider’s ‘The Future of Retail 2018: Delivery and Fulfilment’ is well worth a read if you’re wanting a quick overview of current delivery trends in the US market. Our favourite five insights:

  • Ecommerce is growing nearly five times faster than in-store commerce in the US

  • Over half of all US shoppers and 64% of millenials are interested in exploring alternative delivery locations and methods

  • Free shipping would convince 79% of US consumers to shop online more often

  • A huge 80% of US retailers see omnichannel fulfilment offerings as a major opportunity to increase profitability

  • One third of US retailers are now using crowdsourced delivery services to create cheaper and faster ways of delivering goods and especially to meet last last-mile fulfilment
